Our Next Production ......... Annie

Our next show will be Annie!- another very popular musical, with music Carol Sobieski and the book by Thomas Meehan.

In the depths of the 1930's, Annie is a fiery young orphan girl who must live in a miserable orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Her seemingly hopeless situation changes dramatically when she is selected byGrace Farrell, assistant to he wealthy munitions industrialist, Oliver Warbucks to spend a short time at his residence. Quickly, Annie charms Grace and the hearts of the Warbucks' household staff and even the seemingly cold-hearted Warbucks himself cannot help but learn to love this wonderful girl. He decides to help Annie find her long lost parents by offering a reward if they would come to him and prove their identity. However, Miss Hannigan, her evil brother, Rooster, and his female accomplice, Lily, plan to impersonate those people to get the reward for themselves which put Annie in great danger.  In the meantime, Warbucks has introduced Annie to President Franklin D Roosevelt and later he and his secret service agents unveil Rooster and Lily as imposters.

Great story, made even better by some great songs - 'Maybe', 'It's The Hard Knock Life', 'I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here and of course, the blockbuster 'Tomorrow' and many more.

The show will run from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd  March 2019, at McLaren High School, with Wednesday to Friday performances starting at 7.30 pm and ~Saturday at 3 pm.
